According to an article in the St. Charles Republican, John Barsanti, the Kane County State's Attorney will work with local police this 4th of July weekend in an attempt to hold suspected drunken drivers accountable, even if they refuse to submit to breath tests.  There will be additional police officers on Friday and Saturday looking for possible drunk drivers.  There will also be a "streamlined process" in place for obtaining search " a warrant for a blood sample if an alleged drunken driver refuses a test to determine the alcohol concentration of their blood, breath or urine."  The locations of the operation have not been announced.  A grant from the Kane County DUI Task Force is funding the operation.
